The primary responsibilities of a Trainer are to train all new union operators, re-train, and work with low performing associates. The Trainer is responsible for training reports by tracking the training process of associates and communicate to Engineering, Management and Supervisors with necessary updates.​

Associate Responsibilities
• Train, coach, and develop new, transferred, and underperforming associates to achieve established productivity, quality, safety, and performance standards for assigned sewing operations.
• Communicate training processes, job requirements, sewing specifications, quality expectations, safety policies, and performance standards to associates throughout the training period.
• Assign associates to appropriate training curves and ensure workstations, equipment, and materials are properly prepared to support successful training outcomes.
• Monitor trainee progress, inspect work output, provide constructive feedback, and conduct follow-up activities to ensure training methods and standard work practices are consistently applied.
• Maintain training records, documentation, tools, and related materials to support effective training and compliance requirements.
• Provide regular progress updates and recommendations to management and supervisors regarding trainee development, readiness, and performance.
• Partner with Engineering to implement and train new methods, processes, and operational improvements while remaining current on all procedural and process changes.
• Foster positive work habits, accountability, teamwork, and a customer-focused mindset while ensuring compliance with the requirements of internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet changing training needs and support training across multiple operations as required.

Required Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years of sewing experience required or the ability to perform multiple sewing operations required.
• 2 years of experience in training or manufacturing environment required.
• Knowledge of basic math skills and calculations is required.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Knowledge of sewing operations and ability to perform sewing operations preferred
