Job Description

This is a fully remote position based in Ontario. Due to operational requirements, employees in this role must reside within the province.

The Billing Operations handles billing inquires and back-office clerical support for both The Personal /OAW and the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN). The Trainer will be responsible for training both new and existing Billing employees on new and existing processes, including areas where additional support is needed. This role is integral to ensuring consistent, high-quality training delivery and ongoing support for both new and existing agents and back-office clerical employees. Success in this role means delivering effective onboarding and continuous development for employees, strengthening process understanding and performance within the billing department, and fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes growth, confidence, and collaboration across teams. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Deliver comprehensive training programs for new hires and current employees, including onboarding and continuous learning initiatives

  • Provide coaching and guidance to individuals and groups to address process-related challenges, demonstrating patience and a strong commitment to learner success

  • Lead engaging training sessions on new and existing processes, systems, and updates, tailored to diverse audiences with varying learning needs

  • Support both OAW and DAN business models with flexible and adaptive training approaches in a fast-paced environment

  • Develop training materials or collaborate closely with the Senior Billing Agent team, who typically leads training development. This may include collaboration with other stakeholders and delivering billing material.

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on billing processes and contribute to related projects

  • Partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging strong communication skills and emotional intelligence to build positive working relationships

  • Demonstrate leadership by coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of both individuals and teams

What you bring to the table

  • College diploma in a related field

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience as a Billing Agent

  • Experience in billing processes and training delivery

  • Experience in facilitation and delivering training sessions

  • Experience in coaching and supporting employee development

  • Completion of a Train-the-Trainer certification or equivalent program

  • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec

  • Expert proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Expert knowledge of billing inquires for both The Personal /OAW and the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN)

  • Available for travel to office (Aurora or Mississauga) for in person training sessions or department activities
