Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

The Trainer and Assessor - Heavy Vehicle/ High Risk is a critical role within our Learning and Development (L&D) team, responsible for ensuring the professional growth and compliance of our Heavy Vehicle Operators. You will responsible for delivering in-cab and classroom training, assessing theoretical knowledge, practical driving skills, and operational competence.

What you will be doing…

  • Delivering comprehensive training and assessments for Heavy Vehicle (HV) operators.
  • Conducting driver evaluations and upskilling operators on specific vehicles and equipment.
  • Providing targeted coaching and mentoring to support HV licensing upgrades and refresher training.
  • Conducting competency assessments for HV and High-Risk Operators (e.g., Forklift).
  • Collaborating with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) to maintain compliance with RTO standards.
  • Supporting incident investigations through targeted training in areas such as Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility.
  • Documenting training activities accurately and contributing to the improvement of training materials.

Do you have…

  • Demonstrated experience in the transport industry, with strong operational expertise
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • An MC Licence (unrestricted), with extensive demonstrated driving experience.
  • A valid Forklift Licence.
  • A deep understanding of Road Rules, Workplace Health and Safety, and Heavy Vehicle (HV) National Legislation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities, ensuring the efficient delivery of tasks and training.

Additional Information…

  • Successful applicants will be required to complete a Pre-Employment Medical/ Fit to Drive Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
  • We will provide all relevant onsite training.
