ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment that prepares students for successful careers in the Early Childhood Education sector. You will create engaging and practical learning experiences, support students throughout their learning journey, and ensure training and assessment meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Working closely with colleagues and industry partners, you will contribute to curriculum improvement, student success, and the delivery of quality vocational education.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Assessment Delivery

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment that supports student success and prepares graduates for careers in the Early Childhood Education sector.
  • Facilitate face-to-face, online and blended learning using a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Develop, review and enhance learning and assessment resources to ensure alignment with training package requirements and industry best practice.
  • Deliver practical training and assessment activities within a childcare/creche environment while maintaining child-safe practices at all times.

Student Support & Engagement

  • Provide academic support, coaching and constructive feedback to help students achieve positive learning outcomes.
  • Prepare students for workplace learning and industry placements by promoting professional standards and workplace readiness.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and success.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure training and assessment practices comply with ASQA, VET Quality Framework and Stanley College requirements.
  • Maintain accurate student records, assessment documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in validation, moderation, quality assurance activities and regulatory audits as required.

Industry Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to ensure training remains relevant and responsive to workforce needs.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, developments and emerging practices, integrating these into training delivery and assessment.

Continuous Improvement & Professional Development

  • Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives, curriculum enhancement and faculty development activities.
  • Participate in professional development to maintain vocational competency, industry currency and training expertise.
  • Actively contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across the College.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications and experience

  • A relevant qualification in the field of the course being delivered
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrate relevant and up-to-date industry qualifications in your specific area of expertise
  • Demonstrate recent and relevant vocational experience within the industry sector, ensuring that training is informed by practical, real-world applications of the skills and knowledge being taught.
  • HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Early Childhood Education setting (or willing to obtain)
  • Valid Working with Children’s Check

Extent of Authority

  • Operates under the direction of the Line Manager or delegate within established guidelines, procedures, policies, workflows, and precedents
  • Communicates with internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Problem solves using standard procedures, guidelines, workflows and precedents
