The Wellness Trainers coordinate and co-facilitate workshops in the community and online using virtual meeting platforms. Trainers adhere to program delivery methods in order to ensure program uniformity is maintained. The Wellness Trainers represent the AgeWays (AAA 1-B) while coordinating and facilitating workshops throughout the region. Wellness Trainers have the opportunity to become trained in several different programs offered by AgeWays.
Duties Include:
Prepare and facilitate a minimum of two workshops annually in each assigned program, and in accordance with the program guidelines to ensure program uniformity, including preparing classroom and operating AV (TV, DVD) equipment.
Attend and successfully complete appropriate Leader/Facilitator training prior to facilitating workshops, and annual trainings as required. Maintain knowledge of various program updates to implement into training sessions.
Collect participant and program data in accordance with the program guidelines, AgeWays and the Bureau of Aging, Community. Living, and Supports (ACLS Bureau). Provide program feedback, questions and concerns to Master Trainers.
Model AgeWays core values, attend staff meetings as required.

Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma/GED. Associate Degree and 1 to 2 years training experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, training, verbal communication, collaborative and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain program compliance and uniformity.
Able to perform a range of motion and endurance exercises.
Understand the importance of maintaining confidentiality; ability to maintain participant confidentiality.
Ability to work with co-leader to plan and facilitate workshops.
Ability to operate AV (TV, DVD) equipment and operating virtual meeting platforms.
Willingness to share personal experiences related to the session content being presented (i.e. falls and the fear of falling or living with/caring for someone living with chronic conditions, etc.). Interest in working with older adults and/or caregivers.
