Job Description

Position Summary:
Beacon is a successful and national private-equity-backed behavioral health company providing residential-based services and supports to children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Severe Mental Illness, Autism, and high-acuity behaviors. All activities related to this position must be delivered in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures, accreditation standards, state and federal licensing requirements, HCBS guidelines and the contractual requirements of Community Mental Health Agencies and other regulatory bodies. Orientation and annual training play a critical role in shaping the success of our organization by providing the support our teams need to be competent and confident in their roles. This department has specific expectations to ensure effective staff knowledge, compliance, and excellence.

The Trainer in the Learning and Development department is responsible for improving the quality of work and productivity of the organization's employees. This position assesses property-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for all employees. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance. This position also monitors all industry training regulations and ensures 100% training compliance across all Beacon markets they support.
Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Two years of experience as a trainer/training facilitator, educator, or similar role.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
