We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Service Administrator to join our Mackay team on a 12 month fixed term traineeship, where you will have the opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Business

This role provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth day to day operation of our service delivery function. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will support job coordination, timesheet processing, travel bookings, and general office administration, while also contributing to front of house reception duties.

What you will be doing

  • Service Administration Support: Provide day to day administrative support to the Service Manager and Supervisors
  • Job Coordination & Processing: Assist with timesheet entry, travel bookings, and workflow coordination to support service delivery
  • Purchasing & Cost Support: Process purchase orders, receipt supplier invoices, and assist with cost tracking
  • Reception & Front of House: Participate in the reception roster, managing calls and greeting visitors professionally
  • Office & Facilities Support: Manage uniforms, office supplies, and consumables, ensuring the office runs smoothly
  • Records & Compliance: Maintain contractor records and support onboarding and inductions
  • General Administration: Manage document control, filing, mail distribution, and provide support across the admin team as required

Qualifications

  • A genuine interest in building a career in business administration
  • Some previous experience in an administration or office support role is beneficial, though not essential
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including a professional phone manner
  • High attention to detail and solid organisational skills
  • A reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and collaborate with a supportive team
