Job Description

Welcome to Miles & Barr, we’re known for leading the way in Kent. As part of Lomond, the UK’s leading network of lettings and estate agencies, we’re proud to have 12 offices and over 190 staff ready to assist our customers. With our team’s extensive industry expertise and local knowledge, we’re here to help people find, sell and let their property.

Now, we’re happy to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Trainee/Sales Progressor in our Broadstairs office. The salary package on offer is £26,500 - £28,00 OTE.

We believe that moving home is one of life's most significant milestones. That's why our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for a customer-focused Trainee/Sales Progressor to join our team. This role is about more than progressing property transactions; it's about delivering a first-class experience, providing reassurance, building trust and supporting customers through every stage of their moving journey.

The Role

As a Trainee/Sales Progressor, you will manage a pipeline of residential property sales from sale agreed through to completion. Acting as the central point of contact, you will work closely with buyers, sellers, solicitors, mortgage advisers and branch teams to ensure transactions progress smoothly whilst delivering exceptional customer service throughout.

You will proactively identify and overcome obstacles, provide regular communication, and ensure every customer feels informed, supported and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a pipeline of property transactions from sale agreed through to completion.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with buyers and sellers.
  • Liaise effectively with solicitors, mortgage advisers and all other parties involved in the chain.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimise delays.
  • Keep customers regularly updated and fully informed throughout their transaction.
  • Drive transactions forward to achieve successful exchanges and completions.
  • Maintain accurate records and notes using company systems.
  • Collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver the best possible outcomes for customers.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Have excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate resilience and the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Take ownership of their pipeline and customer outcomes.
  • Be proactive, solution-focused and committed to achieving results.
  • Understand the importance of communication and empathy during the home-moving process.
  • Have experience in Sales Progression, Conveyancing or Estate Agency (preferred, not essential)

We know that successful sales progression is about more than process management. It's about people. Every call, every update and every action can have a meaningful impact on a customer's experience.

If you are passionate about delivering outstanding service, building lasting relationships and helping customers move with confidence, we would love to hear from you.

At Miles & Barr, we believe in taking care of our people. That's why we offer some amazing perks and benefits through our engagement platform, LOMONDlife.
