Our 2-year Trainee Program is designed to set you up for success for a rewarding career within the water industry. As a Trainee Water Treatment Operator, you'll be part of a team of experienced Water Treatment professionals where you will gain on the job experience while working towards a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
From collecting and analysing water samples to assisting with plant operations, you'll gain the competencies needed to contribute to water treatment processes throughout your traineeship.
What You’ll Be Doing
Moreton and Somerset North Trainees are required to work varying shifts, including weekends, from the commencement of their traineeship, and are required to work across multiple Seqwater water treatment facilities including Jimna, Linville, Kilcoy, Kirkleagh, Dayboro and North Pine.
About You
To be successful as a Trainee Water Treatment Operator, you should have a keen interest in the way things work and like to use your skills to solve problems. You will have a good awareness of safety and will follow all safe work practices and procedures to ensure the protection of yourself and others whilst contributing to the supply of safe, reliable drinking water.
In addition to the Certificate III, you will be willing to undertake a range of other training such as confined space training, first aid certificate, and any additional training deemed necessary to carry out the duties of an Operator Supply.

What’s in it for You?
This position has a starting salary of $47,611.10 per annum plus 12.75% super Your remuneration will increase at various milestones throughout the trainee program, reaching $69,806.15 per annum plus super after 18 months
Please note: There may be an opportunity to commence at a higher salary if you hold a relevant qualification and have prior experience.
