Priory Hospital Hayes Grove is one of the UK’s leading mental health and addiction rehab hospitals.
We can provide world class residential treatment for a range of mental health conditions, including
treatment for depression, as well as drug and
alcohol addiction treatment. The hospital also offers a comprehensive eating disorder service for adults, with inpatient, day care and outpatient support available. In addition, we provide outpatient treatment for young people as well as private CAMHS assessments options and private autism assessments for adults.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
- Deliver high-quality therapeutic support to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team, working under the guidance and supervision of experienced therapists to develop your clinical skills and confidence.
- Build positive therapeutic relationships with patients, supporting their recovery through one-to-one sessions, group therapy, and structured therapeutic activities in line with individual care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, contribute to risk assessments, and participate in case discussions, ensuring compliance with professional standards and Priory policies.
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide person-centred care and achieve the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Actively engage in supervision, training, and continuous professional development, demonstrating a commitment to learning and progressing towards a qualified therapist role within Priory.

What you'll bring to the role
To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine passion for supporting people with their mental health and wellbeing, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be compassionate, empathetic, and able to build positive therapeutic relationships with patients from a wide range of backgrounds. A willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop professionally is essential, as you will be working under the supervision of experienced clinicians.
You should be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrate good organisational and time management skills, maintain accurate clinical records, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and professional practice. Previous experience in a healthcare, mental health, psychology, counselling, or support setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training and ongoing development will be provided.
