The Trainee Technician program aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to become an Aircraft Engine Technician. This trainee program spans 12 months and includes both structured and on-the-job training. Upon completion, trainees will be deployed as Aircraft Engine Technicians to perform Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) of engines.

Good performing trainees will be assigned to one of three core departments (Engine Build & Strip, Inspection, or Repair Operations) and may progress to become Certifying Technicians or explore other exciting career opportunities within Pratt & Whitney.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize machines, equipment, tools to carry out disassembly, assembly, inspection and repair functions of engines, its associated modules, parts, components, or accessories.

  • Read and execute the standard operating procedures (SOP).

  • Solve technical issues and problems as appropriate when encounter in their daily work.

  • Assist the Cell Leaders, Assistant Foremen, Workshop Engineers in their daily operations to achieve production targets, corporate goals, and discipline.

  • Carry out SAP transactions and make necessary changes to works order in SAP.

  • Carry out proper documentation.

  • Actively support and participate in EHS and Continuous Improvement and Ethics culture projects and any other corporate initiatives.

  • Carry out any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications You Must Have

  • Diploma/Higher NITEC/NITEC in a relevant technical or engineering discipline.

  • 0-2 years of experience with keen interest in joining the aerospace industry are welcome.

  • Able to read and interpret basic technical drawing.

  • A curious and learning mindset – we provide on-the-job trainings and certifications.

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications.

  • Commit to work on rotating shifts (Day & Night) and overtime on need basis.
