Trainee Rigger Training Programme

Are you committed to studying towards an ECITB L3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment?
Opportunity: Employment as a Trainee Rigger with study towards the ECITB L3 Diploma in Engineering Construction Lifting Positioning and Installing Structures, Plant and Equipment.
Commitment: 6 weeks off the job training (employed) followed by up to 24 months on site experience & skills development to complete the qualification
Eligibility:
When: June 2026 (Start date TBC)
Location: Cannington (Mechanical Centre of Excellence) for 6 weeks before deployment to HPC site. Travel and accommodation costs during the 6 weeks training at Cannington paid in line with HPC Site Agreements.
Employment: With an MEH phase contractor at HPC.
Salary: Basic salary from day one of training circa £20.97 per hour (ESCA Grade 2) with the potential to increase after 12 months (on successful completion of training milestones).

Assessment: Candidates will be shortlisted based on the eligibility criteria above and invited to an assessment day (assessments will include maths / English levels) including an interview at Cannington (Mechanical Centre of Excellence) in either late March or early April.
Eight candidates will be selected to start as employed Trainee Riggers in June 2026.
