The Experis Academy for Babcock International has an exciting and unique opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled to become highly skilled Project Planners via their award-winning Train To Fit programme. Our Train to Fit programmes offer an exciting and unique opportunity for aspiring Project Planners to gain paid training, hands-on experience, and personalised career development while working with Babcock International within Infrastructure Programmes at HMNB Clyde in Scotland.

Successful candidates must be commercially astute, and possess strong numerical, analytical, and planning and organisational skills. If you are looking to reskill or have a desire to develop your skills in project planning, then this could be the opportunity for you. This is a challenging but rewarding role that will require outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Kickstart your journey with a 7-week intensive training programme that combines in person instructor-led classes, scenario-based learning, and practical application workshops. You will receive best in class training within project management, planning and controls, Primavera (planning/scheduling tool) and Excel. The curriculum also covers essential soft skills like negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution - equipping you for a 12-month placement as an Experis employee within Babcock. Here, you’ll put your skills to use in a real-world environment with ongoing support and mentorship.

Training will commence in August 2026.

Role of a Project Planner:

As a Project Planner, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining schedules to ensure projects are delivered to performance, time, and cost agreements. Working closely with Engineers, delivery teams, Project Managers, and the customer, you will keep the P6 plan updated based on real-time progress. You will also support the Project Manager by identifying resource constraints, monitoring critical paths, and proactively flagging any scheduling issues to ensure the project stays on track.
