Our store  

At our Spytty Road Newport Specsavers store, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional eye and hearing care within a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment. The store is based within the Tesco Extra at Newport Retail Park, surrounded by over 20 other popular outlets including a cinema, restaurants, clothing stores, and cafes, creating a vibrant and convenient working location. The store itself features 9 test rooms, supporting a busy and thriving clinical operation with a strong focus on quality care. Known for its supportive team culture and commitment to professional development, it is an ideal place to build a rewarding career where colleagues work collaboratively to provide an outstanding, personalised customer experience. The location benefits from public transport links, with regular bus services to the retail park and easy access from the M4, and also offers free on-site parking, making commuting straightforward and convenient. With modern facilities, advanced optical technology, and a focus on clinical excellence, the store offers a dynamic and engaging workplace where both customer satisfaction and employee growth are key priorities.   

Our team  

You’ll be joining a team of around 50 colleagues who create an inclusive, welcoming environment with a real family feel. As a busy and bustling retail environment, the store has a great energy, with the team thriving in a fast-paced setting while remaining focused and committed to delivering the highest standards of care, which is at the centre of everything they do. There is a strong sense of collaboration across both clinical and retail teams, ensuring every customer receives a seamless and personalised experience. The store also values colleague wellbeing and engagement, with regular social events helping to build strong relationships and maintain a positive, enjoyable working atmosphere. It’s a place where everyone supports one another, works hard together, and takes pride in what they deliver every day.
