As we continue to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team and begin building a long-term career with one of the UK's fastest-growing compliance groups.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of geotechnical and ground investigation projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, receiving full training and mentoring whilst developing both your technical and practical skills.
No two days will be the same. You'll spend time both on-site and in the office, supporting investigations, analysing results and helping deliver high-quality reports for clients across multiple sectors.
What you will do
- Assist with planning and undertaking ground investigations across a variety of sites.
- Supervise and log boreholes, trial pits and intrusive ground investigations.
- Carry out soil and rock logging in accordance with industry standards.
- Record site data accurately and maintain high-quality field notes.
- Support the interpretation of geotechnical data and laboratory test results.
- Assist in preparing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and clients professionally.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Travel to sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays where required.
Who you are
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A full UK driving licence (or be working towards obtaining one).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- The flexibility to travel and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
