Newton Abbott, Devon

£32,997.12 rising to £40,170 on completion of training

Plus Benefits including Pension, Medical Cash Plan, Life Assurance, 22 days' holiday per annum plus bank holidays.

Monday to Friday, 48 working week

Job Description

  • To start with accompanying the driver on daily rounds throughout our region, delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste cooking oil to be loaded back onto the lorry
  • Interacting with up to 30 customers a day, providing an effective and helpful service
  • Once experienced doing own smaller rounds in 3.5 van to learn own round management
  • Completion of your Class 2 License
  • Ability to work independently, completing cash handling and manage own workload
  • Aiding the driver to locate any new locations that require delivery
  • Filling out round sheets and invoices with quantities and prices
  • Unloading used cooking oil from the vehicles back in the yard
  • Loading vehicles with fresh stock ready for the next day
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the site runs efficiently and effectively

Qualifications

  • Hardworking people with the desire to progress and gain knowledge
  • Reliable attitude
  • A car driving licence
  • At a minimum, GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent)

Please note, this role involves early hours, starting between 05:00 and 07:00 am. As the role can involve moving and carrying weights in excess of 20kgs, we will provide manual handling training and medical screening to the successful candidate.
