Job Description

Join Ashtead Technology's leading Survey and Robotics team as a Trainee Calibration Technician in Houston where you will learn hands on from our industry experts and carry out equipment calibrations and ensure all calibrated equipment meets strict traceability requirements, while also preparing, testing, labelling, and safely packaging for delivery.

What you'll be doing:

  • Complete competency training and perform calibrations to recognised standards, accurately recording results in the ERP system and managing multiple equipment tasks efficiently.
  • Prepare, test, fault-find, and repair equipment, including wiring, cable assembly, and soldering, ensuring items are ready for calibration and meet required specifications.
  • Support asset management by labelling, commissioning, storing, and packaging equipment safely for transport and delivery.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and contribute to smooth service delivery through strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workloads.
  • Follow Ashtead Technology’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, applying risk assessments and maintaining a clean, safe working environment while carrying out electrical safety testing.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Associates Degree in Electronic field or equivalent Military training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Previous calibration experience is beneficial along with electronics and fault finding experience
