An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee Buyer on a 12 month fixed term contract who is looking to commence a career within the aerospace supply chain sector.

The successful individual will join our team of committed people, supporting a busy and fast-moving environment.

Training and growth will be underpinned with on-the-job training and mentoring in all aspects of purchasing and delivering supply chain performance.

With development the role requirements will include:

  • Performing routine day-to-day activities associated to supply chain service requirements, which include administration and expedition of purchase orders and services required.

  • Managing MRP requirements to satisfy production schedules and implementation of appropriate recovery plans. Shortage reporting and resolution.

  • Negotiating with suppliers to obtain optimum price and lead times to meet business requirements.

  • Liaising with customers/ suppliers to respond to routine queries regarding contract and supply chain issues

  • Providing input to project meetings to answer questions concerning contract/supply chain matters

  • Monitoring and measuring process performance through generation of regular and accurate management information/reports as required.
