An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee Buyer on a 12 month fixed term contract who is looking to commence a career within the aerospace supply chain sector.
The successful individual will join our team of committed people, supporting a busy and fast-moving environment.
Training and growth will be underpinned with on-the-job training and mentoring in all aspects of purchasing and delivering supply chain performance.
With development the role requirements will include:
Performing routine day-to-day activities associated to supply chain service requirements, which include administration and expedition of purchase orders and services required.
Managing MRP requirements to satisfy production schedules and implementation of appropriate recovery plans. Shortage reporting and resolution.
Negotiating with suppliers to obtain optimum price and lead times to meet business requirements.
Liaising with customers/ suppliers to respond to routine queries regarding contract and supply chain issues
Providing input to project meetings to answer questions concerning contract/supply chain matters
Monitoring and measuring process performance through generation of regular and accurate management information/reports as required.
