The Engineering Intern will support the CEM Engineering team in daily engineering activities related to manufacturing processes, production support, continuous improvement initiatives, and engineering documentation. This internship provides hands-on exposure to electronic manufacturing operations while allowing students to apply their academic knowledge in a real manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in daily production and engineering activities.
• Support process improvement and continuous improvement (CI) projects to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Prepare and update engineering documents, including work instructions, process flow charts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in collecting, compiling, and analyzing production and process data for reporting purposes.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for production issues.
• Support new product introduction (NPI), engineering trials, and product validation activities where applicable.
• Assist in process monitoring and verification to ensure compliance with quality and manufacturing standards.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Manufacturing, and other supporting departments on engineering-related tasks.
• Assist in maintaining engineering records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Participate in engineering meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and 5S workplace practices.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Engineering Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Diploma or bachelor's degree in:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering
• Electrical & Electronic Engineering
• Industrial Engineering
• Or other related engineering disciplines.
