Key Responsibilities
Operational Design & Planning: Develop and finalize operational control strategies, including timetable optimization, headway management, and depot/yard operations.
Safety & Compliance: Define and review Operating & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and disaster management plans to ensure compliance with national and international standards (e.g., FRA, EN, RSSB).
Systems Integration: Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure signalling, traction power, and rolling stock are optimized for operational requirements.
Asset Handover: Assist in the transition from the construction phase to the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) phase, ensuring all systems are functional.
Simulation & Testing: Utilize modelling software (e.g., RailSys, OpenTrack) to simulate train movements and test capacity.
Staffing & Training: Define manpower requirements, competency frameworks, and training plans for operational staff.
Incident Management: Develop procedures for service recovery and emergency response.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Railway Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience in railway operations, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or international project-based role.
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of signaling systems (e.g., ETCS, CBTC),, rolling stock, and, scheduling.
Software Proficiency: Experience with simulation tools like RailSys or OpenTrack is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, analytical thinking, ability to work under pressure, and excellent stakeholder management
