SUMMARY STATEMENT/POSITION OVERVIEW
Switches trailers to and from yard and docks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBLITIES
▪ Locates and moves trailers as directed by Receiving, Shipping, & Traffic personnel.
▪ Moves trailers to docks and yard as directed by dispatcher.
▪ Complies with all Traffic procedures.
▪ Complies with all safety procedures.
▪ Excellent safety record.
▪ Organizes trailers in the yard.
▪ Communicates and contributes to department goals and objectives.
▪ Communicates any equipment damage to management.
▪ Performs yard checks daily.
▪ Performs other duties as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATIONS (List specific skills required but not defined in Dimensions)
▪ High School diploma or equivalent experience
▪ Has active/current Driver’s License, preferably CDL.
▪ 2 years Switcher experience.
▪ Good verbal communication skills.
▪ Ability to listen and follow detailed instructions.
▪ Ability to organize and complete all necessary paperwork in English.
