The Trading Specialist will be responsible for executing trades, managing orders, and optimizing trading strategies to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of financial markets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic trading environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute trades across various asset classes and markets, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and foreign exchange, in accordance with client instructions and trading strategies.
  • Monitor market conditions, news, and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities and risks, and make informed trading decisions.
  • Analyze market data and trading patterns to optimize order execution and minimize trading costs, including spreads, slippage, and market impact.
  • Manage order flow and liquidity to ensure timely and efficient execution of client orders, while minimizing market impact and price volatility.
  • Develop and implement trading algorithms and strategies to automate trading processes and improve execution efficiency.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and other trading desk members to develop and refine trading strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain relationships with brokers, exchanges, and other counterparties to access liquidity, obtain market information, and negotiate trading terms.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal trading policies and procedures, including best execution obligations and risk management protocols.
  • Stay up to date on market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to continuously enhance trading capabilities and adapt to evolving market conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree in finance, quantitative finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in trading, preferably in a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, asset management firm, or investment bank.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, and market microstructure, with expertise in one or more asset classes.
  • Proficiency in trading platforms, order management systems, and market data analysis tools.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven trading decisions.
  • Advanced knowledge of trading algorithms, execution strategies, and risk management techniques.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and competitive trading environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex trading concepts effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in order execution and trade reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement trading strategies in response to market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with electronic trading platforms, FIX protocol, and high-frequency trading (HFT) technologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of options pricing models and trading strategies for derivatives markets preferred.
  • Experience with trading compliance, regulatory reporting, and risk management frameworks preferred.
