This is a production-facing role focused on ensuring the accuracy, availability, and integrity of trading data across front office, post-trade, and quantitative systems.

A key part of the role is acting as a first line of support for trading-related data issues, requiring a strong understanding of how reference data flows through systems and impacts trading activity.

You will work closely with traders, developers, quants, and operations to resolve issues, onboard new data, and ensure systems remain aligned with market and exchange changes.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support & Data Ownership

  • Investigate and resolve data issues impacting trading and downstream systems
  • Take ownership of data quality and ensure accuracy across all environments
  • Understand and manage the impact of data changes on trading workflows
  • Reference Data Management
  • Maintain instrument definitions, pricing data, and corporate actions
  • Validate and monitor data from external vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, exchanges)
  • Ensure consistency and correctness of data across systems

Data Onboarding & Change Management

  • Onboard new trading venues, brokers, and financial instruments
  • Analyse vendor and exchange changes (e.g. symbology, tick sizes, trading rules)
  • Coordinate updates with development teams and ensure smooth rollout

Stakeholder Interaction

  • Work closely with traders, operations, and developers to support trading activity
  • Communicate clearly on issues, changes, and data impacts
  • Provide guidance on reference data behaviour and system expectations

What we’re looking for

  • At least 5 years of experience in financial services, trading support, or reference data roles
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and trading workflows
  • Working knowledge of SQL &/or python, relational databases and querying/updating database tables.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, familiar with high volumes of data changes and prioritize workloads.
  • Experience working with market data vendors (Bloomberg, Exchanges, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate in a production environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams

Why Join

  • Work directly with front office trading systems
  • Own and support business-critical data
  • Gain exposure to global markets, exchanges, and trading workflows
  • Be part of a team that sits at the intersection of trading, technology, and data
