As a Trading Production Engineering Co - Op (Placement) Student at Susquehanna, you will work with senior trading production engineers from the beginning of your programme who will act as your mentors throughout. You will help support the critical applications used across the trading environment, investigate live technical issues, and collaborate with Trading, Operations, Development, and Engineering. You will also contribute to project work that improves application reliability, supportability, monitoring, and automation, giving you the opportunity to see applications progress from initial specification to full production.

What we’re looking for

Who you are:

  • Technical: You have some experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java or C#, or a scripting language such as Python or PowerShell. Familiarity with LinuxWindows operating systems, databases, networking, monitoring tools, or software troubleshooting is desirable. You are interested in understanding how applications behave in production and in using automation to improve reliability and reduce repetitive operational work.• Education: You are studying a STEM related degree in an Irish university and are required to do a work placement as part of your course requirements. • Problem Solver: When it comes to solving problems, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational and like to use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions• Curious: You’re eager to learn and develop new technologies.
