Job Description

Our 2026 Trading Operations Analyst Programme (OA) is a structured 6-month development programme for soon-to-be and recent postgraduate graduates. Designed to accelerate your development and fast-track you into a career role at Susquehanna, the programme combines structured education, hands-on skill building, and direct exposure to our trading business. From day one, you will be working on real problems that matter, building the foundation for a long-term career at one of the most innovative firms in financial services. Through 4 week rotations you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to every desk within Trading Operations such as Trade Support, Risk Operations, Stock Loan, Corporate Actions and Settlements. Each desk rotation is designed to give you more than just exposure, you will own real tasks and deliver projects with immediate, tangible impact on the trading business. Once the programme is complete you will step into a desk role that directly shapes Susquehanna’s performance, equipped with the experience and relationships to make an impact from day one.

Our Programme:

As a Trading Operations Analyst you will be exposed to the full life cycle of Susquehanna’s trading activity and develop a fundamental understanding of the industry and trading environment in which Susquehanna operates in. Trading Operations sits at the intersection of trading, technology, and external counterparties, where you will take ownership of meaningful work, build strong cross-functional relationships, and deliver solutions that directly contribute to our success. Working alongside our team you will develop an in-depth exposure to all the different trading desks and business areas at Susquehanna with each rotation incorporating hands-on experience, structured education and real-time projects to add value. By the time you complete the programme, you will have built a strong foundation of practical and technical experience across the business and be ready to hit the ground running in your career role at Susquehanna. We actively seek candidates who bring a diversity of academic thinking to the table. Whether your undergraduate is in Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or another STEM discipline, paired with a postgraduate qualification in Finance, you will find that the combination of analytical rigour and financial understanding is exactly the profile that sets our best people apart. Your unique academic journey is not just welcomed, it is a genuine competitive advantage.

What we’re looking for

What we’re looking for:

  • Problem Solver You enjoy solving puzzles and love when you discover a solution to difficult problems. You’re not afraid to discuss ideas and work with others to find the optimal solution. You take ownership of the problems you encounter and see them through to delivery, not just diagnosis.
  • Communicator You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with. You enjoy sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts and listening to the views of others.
  • Ambitious You constantly set yourself goals in life and give your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics or another passion you have, you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
  • Numerical & Logical When it comes to decision making, you use clear and sound reasoning. You’re rational and like to use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions.
  • Curious and Innovative You’re eager to find out more about what it’s like to work in the Finance sector, and specifically Trading Operations. You don’t just observe how things work, you ask how they could work better. You bring a genuine passion for financial markets and an instinct to look for smarter, more effective ways to operate.
  • Soon-to-be or recent graduate Our programme starts in early September 2026. We welcome applications from candidates who bring a dual-discipline academic profile, typically an undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline (such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering) combined with a postgraduate qualification in Finance, Financial Mathematics, or a related field. This combination of analytical and financial thinking is at the heart of what makes a great Trading Operations Analyst at Susquehanna.

What's in it for you:

  • Education Susquehanna’s in-house education programme is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. You will attend regular seminars to learn about in-house business, products, and tech (Excel, SQL, Python etc.).
  • Support You will be assigned a mentor from our trading operations team for each of your rotations. You will also be assigned a buddy who was a previous OA to guide you along the way.
  • Ownership & Real Impact You will take direct ownership of work that matters. From day one, you will collaborate with traders and technology teams, contribute to live trading decisions, and drive improvements that are critical to the ongoing success of the business. Your ideas will be heard, acted on, and will have real commercial impact.
  • Culture Our culture allows employees of every level to thrive. We are not your typical trading firm – the environment is casual, collaborative and we focus on continuous development, no matter how long you’ve been in Susquehanna.
  • Perks Based in the heart of Ireland’s Financial Services Centre, and a 10-minute walk from Dublin’s city centre, our employees’ avail of free onsite catering, a games room, and a large in house gym, to name but a few of our favourite perks.
