Examples of duties

This position supports maintenance operations by performing repairs, general labor, and routine care for equipment and facilities. As a Tradesman Helper, you will perform the following duties:

  • Repair Support: Perform minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment cleaning tasks
  • Garage Assistance: Service vehicles and equipment, travel for parts, and assist mechanics at various sites
  • Construction Help: Support bridge crew tasks including form building, concrete work, and rebar tying
  • Facility Maintenance: Assist with building repairs, plumbing tasks, roofing, siding, and general labor
  • Tool Operation: Use diagnostic tools and motorized hand equipment to identify and repair problems
  • Grounds Upkeep: Complete yard care, snow removal, cleaning tasks, and general building maintenance

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
