Trades Assistant

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Trades Assistant to join our busy workshop team. This is a hands-on role working closely with supervisors, engineers, and qualified tradespeople to deliver safe, high-quality work within required timeframes.

In this role you will play a key role in supporting daily operations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and representing the business professionally when working with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

About the role:

· Reading and interpreting production and fabrication drawings

· Assisting with the prefabrication and assembly of structures both in the workshop and out on site

· Supporting tradespeople with daily tasks and tool handling

· Working to strict deadlines and within allocated budgets

· Travelling to various project sites as required

· Carrying out repairs, replacements, and general maintenance of existing structures

· Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment

· Representing the company in a professional manner when engaging with third parties and internal teams

About you:

· A strong work ethic and willingness to learn

· The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

· Basic understanding of construction or fabrication processes (desirable)

· The ability to read and interpret technical drawings (or willingness to learn)

· A commitment to safety and quality workmanship

· Flexibility to travel for work when required
