Team/ Division Overview
The Liquid Investment Division is responsible for the management of fixed income and multi-asset strategies within DWS Korea, primarily across liquid public markets. The team manages portfolios across a broad range of instruments, including bonds, derivatives, FX, and overseas assets. Members of the Liquid Investments focus on disciplined portfolio construction and risk management, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

Your responsibilities
As a Trader (FI and ETF), you will be responsible for:

  • Trade executions and/or processing of fixed income, FX spot, forward, onshore fund, and domestic/overseas ETFs, and futures trades.
  • Provide accurate trade details electronically through the trading system and export them to the Operations department for settlement on a timely basis.
  • Trade strictly within established limits.
  • Be aware of related regulations, compliance manual, legal matters and “best practice” relating to the products or portfolios traded.
  • Use clear and unambiguous language when executing trades, as well as complying with all “best practice” market conventions, terminology, calculations and definitions.
  • Monitor the market and providing news flows and trading ideas, as well as technical strategies to portfolio managers. Keep good and reasonable relationship with the broker community.
  • Maintain up-to-date trade logs and confirmations for all transactions.
  • Manage overnight call loan, RP, MMT, MMDA, and Securities borrowing/lending.
  • Daily monitor counterparty limit; cash flow reports; CIO confirmations. Report to regional trading department on the trading systems and procedures used in Korea.
  • Prepare market data/news required for portfolio management every morning

We are looking for:

  • Relevant experience in financial institution preferred
  • Good understanding of financial markets
  • Working knowledge of English preferred
  • Well organized with an attention to detail
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
