Job Description

Salary: £26,409 - £27,711

Hours per week: 37 hours

Interview date: Thursday 16 April 2026

Are you creative, confident on camera, and great at producing social media content?

Join our Wilts Promoting Partners team as a Traded Service Assistant and help us deliver recruitment support and DBS services to schools, charities, and local businesses across Wiltshire.

In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll support the delivery of Wiltshire Council’s external recruitment and DBS services. You’ll help promote job opportunities, create short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok, manage advertising campaigns, and ensure DBS checks are processed accurately and efficiently.

You’ll also support recruitment for senior school roles and help maintain strong relationships with our traded service customers.

Working closely with our Traded Service Coordinator, you’ll get involved in everything from designing social media reels and posts, sending email campaigns, attending careers events, and supporting invoicing. No two days look the same.

Things you need to know…

  • The successful candidate will feel confident and relaxed taking part in short videos (reels) for our social media channels, as well as calling potential new customers to promote our services.
  • This role includes processing DBS checks, which means you must be eligible and willing to undergo a DBS check yourself to become a countersignatory for Wiltshire Council. This requirement cannot be removed from the role.
  • This is a hands‑on role involving daily customer interaction and proactive outreach - it’s not purely a marketing desk job.
  • This role requires practical experience creating short-form video content (e.g., Instagram Reels or TikTok). Please only apply if you have created this type of content before, professionally or personally.
  • As part of the application process, we’d love to see your creativity in action. Candidates will be invited to create a short Instagram style reel inspired by the content on our Wilts Promoting Partners social media pages. Click to view the full task brief and scoring criteria.
