Trade Team Leader Location: Melbourne, Victoria

The Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Trade Team Leader to lead and support our Self Perform trade team.
In this role, you’ll oversee daily service delivery, quoting, tendering, installations, and maintenance activities across commercial client facilities. You’ll be responsible for ensuring KPIs are met, compliance standards are upheld, and client expectations are consistently exceeded.
This is a hands-on leadership position — combining technical trade expertise with team supervision, client engagement, and operational oversight. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the trade team

  • Oversee quoting, tendering and installation of services

  • Ensure service delivery meets contract KPIs and client expectations

  • Approve timesheets and manage team performance

  • Conduct toolbox talks and mentor apprentices and team members

  • Provide technical troubleshooting and hands-on trade support when required

  • Manage emergency responses and escalation processes

  • Prepare and deliver monthly client reports and attend client meetings

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers

  • Ensure compliance with WHS, regulatory and BGIS business systems

  • Promote continuous improvement and uphold BGIS values

Your Education, Experience & Skills

  • Trade Licence

  • Current Driver’s Licence (manual driving capability preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar leadership/service delivery role

  • Experience in quoting, tendering and installation management

  • Strong leadership and mentoring capability

  • Experience managing KPIs and service performance

  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong administrative skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience with IWMS / CMMS systems

  • Ability to respond quickly to change and adopt an innovative approach

  • Australian working rights (essential)
