About the role

An exciting opportuntiy to join a fast paced team working across all events end to end at Tesco from Easter to Christmas. Working with a wide number of stakeholders, expanding your knowlege and network.I use insight, analytical data and customer trends to ensure I deliver a great proposition for our customers and Tesco across all channels . You will be responsible for

  • Understanding the drivers of performance through sound analytics and use this to build recommendations.
  • Applying insight and customer understanding to the Events programme to support space optimization, sales and customer perception.
  • Communicating and owning delivery of the critical path, prioritizing promotions and ranges based on customer needs and calendar themes. Escalate risks or issues to my manager in a timely fashion.
  • Develop the relationship with Retail, Product, Customer and SRD.
  • Being an expert on competitors Promotions and Events across all channels.
  • Owning the review highlighting trends and make recommendations on improvement by channel (stores & Online).
  • Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and hand over protocols and successfully completing all required training


You will need

  • Experience in range development, trade planning, and merchandising, including merchandise planning or buying.
  • Strong understanding of critical path management and delivering activity to key timelines.
  • Proven ability to use market data to inform decisions and drive commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with the confidence to turn insight into action.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with an understanding of performance drivers.
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a range of audiences.
  • Solid project management capability, including prioritisation and delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • A customer focused mindset, ensuring decisions are aligned to customer needs and business goals.
