Join QIC as a Trade Operations Analyst and play a key role in supporting the operational backbone of a global institutional investment manager. Working within our Investment Operations team, you will help coordinate trade activity across a diverse range of investment products, ensuring trades are accurately processed, reconciled and settled across internal and external platforms.This is an excellent opportunity for an operations professional seeking exposure to global financial markets and complex investment products. You'll gain hands-on experience across the full trade lifecycle while working closely with investment teams, administrators, custodians and market counterparties. Supported by an experienced team, you'll build your technical capability while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Support trade flows across key asset classes including, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Exchange Traded Derivatives, Cleared and Bilateral OTC Derivatives and Private Debt.
Validate and affirm domestic and international trades, ensuring timely execution and settlement.
Monitor and assist in resolving trade matching, settlement and reconciliation issues.
Reconcile positions, market values, and cash within internal and external vendor systems.
Manage trade lifecycle activities, including corporate actions processing.
Review security and investment data to ensure ongoing accuracy and data integrity.
Contribute to process improvements, documentation and operational risk management activities.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and proactive operations professional who enjoys solving problems, analysing data and working collaboratively in a high-performing team environment. You'll likely bring:
Experience in trade operations within an investment management or financial services environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate outcomes.
The ability to manage competing priorities and meet critical deadlines.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
Knowledge of settlement practices and trade lifecycle processes across financial markets.
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Exposure to derivatives, corporate actions, custodians or clearing operations will be advantageous.
