Job Description

Join our team at JPMorganChase, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the pre- and post-trading life cycle operations. Your focus on cash movements, funding coordination, and process improvements will be key to enhancing operational efficiency and driving success.

As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in managing the operations of pre- and post-trading life cycles across all asset classes, with a primary focus on cash movements in and out of client accounts and preparing funding for managed demand deposit accounts. You will coordinate with other business lines to ensure proper funding, applying your knowledge of trade lifecycle processes to identify and resolve issues while contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives. Your success will depend on your ability to actively listen, ask insightful questions, and establish productive relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as manage projects and influence outcomes. Regular guidance and support from more experienced professionals will help you grow in your role.

Job responsibilities
  • The specialist performs end-to-end transfer processing, including intake, validation, submission, follow-up, settlement, and post-transfer reconciliation. The role reviews transfer instructions and supporting documentation for completeness and suitability, confirms account eligibility and registration details, and ensures assets, cash, and cost basis information are moved and recorded accurately where applicable.
  • The specialist manages exceptions and aged items by researching breaks, coordinating with counterparties and internal partners, and driving issues to closure with clear documentation of actions taken. The role may support client-facing partners by providing transfer status updates, setting expectations, and summarizing root causes when service recovery is required.
  • The specialist contributes to operational excellence by identifying recurring defects, proposing process improvements, supporting procedure documentation, and assisting with testing or implementation activities for system or workflow changes that impact transfers.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Exprience in financial services operations, account servicing, brokerage/custody, or related transfer processing functions, with demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, deadline-driven workflows. A working understanding of account registrations, asset types (e.g., equities, mutual funds, fixed income), and core brokerage operations is expected.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to coordinate across teams and external parties are required.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Prior direct experience with account transfer mechanisms and related workflows (including custody-to-custody transfers, re-registrations, and transfer exception management) is preferred. Experience in service remediation, reconciliations, and operational risk controls is valued.
  • Relevant industry licensing or credentials may be preferred depending on business model and role scope, as well as familiarity with cost basis processing, corporate actions impacts to transfers, and complex account structures (e.g., trusts, retirement accounts).
