We are looking for a new colleague to our Regional Center in Prague to join our Treasury team.

Become part of a dynamic team responsible for managing Trade Products – such as letters of credit and bank guarantees – for all Solar Turbines entities worldwide.

What will be your tasks/responsibilities?

  • Successful candidate will manage Trade Finance Instruments (Bank guarantees, Commercial Letters of credit) throughout their full life-cycle, i.e. contract negotiation and review of wordings, coordination with banks, review of bank fees, issuance, amendments and cancellations of bank instruments, accurate reporting.
  • Responsibility for assigned countries and ensuring that bank instruments are consistent and conform to underlying contracts and international rules.
  • Offering consultancy on Trade Products to internal business partners and clarifying requirements and limitations of these products to external customers when needed.
  • Maintaining relationships and agreements with banks, updating relevant databases and ad-hoc trainings to internal customers.
    • Major touchpoints outside Solar and Caterpillar are customers and international banks and financial institutions.
    • Major touchpoints throughout Solar and the Caterpillar Corporation include Corporate Treasury, Solar Finance, Solar Project management and Overhaul Business Management, Marketing, Sales, Legal and Global Trade Compliance.
  • Compliance with organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Other tasks, such as but not limited to support with KYC activities and legal documentation for banks, might be assigned, depending on workload.

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, International Trade, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Min. 3 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Accounting, or similar.
  • Professional, advanced-level English; proficiency in other languages (Spanish, French, German, Italian) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, VLOOKUPs, PivotTables) and Microsoft Word.
  • Basic knowledge of Trade instruments (bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, commercial letters of credit) is an advantage.
  • Compliance-focused with a clear criminal record.
  • Team player who can work independently.
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and enthusiasm for expanding knowledge and skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, proactive, accountable.
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage broad and complex assignments.
  • Effective work management and timely follow-up. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Provides timely and effective insights, conveying subject matter confidence/mastery.

This position requires working onsite five days a week.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
