Job Description

Your Responsibilities:

  • The role is responsible for managing day-to-day trade finance activities across the full lifecycle of these instruments, including request review, documentation preparation, issuance, amendments, monitoring, and closure.
  • The position ensures accurate execution, compliance with internal policies and banking requirements, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders, banks, and beneficiaries.

Trade Finance Operations & Execution

  • Execute the end-to-end processing of Letters of Credit (LCs), Standby Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, bid bonds, performance guarantees, and other bank-issued instruments.
  • Coordinate issuance, amendments, extensions, cancellations, releases, and other lifecycle activities in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Review transaction requests and supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal requirements.
  • Prepare and review LC and guarantee wording for standard transactions, ensuring alignment with commercial agreements, contractual requirements, and banking standards, and flagging non-standard or high-risk wording to the Treasury Trade Finance Manager for approval.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade finance instruments, including key terms, expiry dates, beneficiaries, and exposure information.

Stakeholder & Banking Coordination

  • Support business units, trading teams, Legal, Real Estate/Facilities, and other functions in preparing and processing LC and guarantee requests.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for issuing, advising, and confirming banks on standard transaction execution and documentation, resolving routine discrepancies directly and escalating complex or high-risk issues to the Treasury Trade Finance Manager.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and banks to resolve documentation issues, discrepancies, and execution challenges.
  • Escalate complex transactions or issues to the Treasury Trade Finance Manager as appropriate.

Portfolio Management & Reporting

  • Monitor and maintain the trade finance portfolio, including outstanding LCs, guarantees, expiry dates, releases, renewals, extensions, contingent liabilities, facility utilization, fees, and transaction status.
  • Support accurate trade finance data management through reconciliations, data validation, accounting close activities, forecasting, and Treasury reporting requirements. Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure trade finance activities comply with Treasury policies, SOX controls, banking requirements, and regulatory obligations by maintaining complete documentation, audit trails, and supporting compliance reviews, sanctions screening, and audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation standards, and operational efficiency while supporting Treasury projects, system enhancements, and digitalization initiatives.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in trade finance, treasury operations, banking operations, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with Letters of Credit, bank guarantees, standby LCs, or other trade finance instruments.
  • Experience working with banks, corporate treasury teams, trading organizations, or financial institutions preferred.
  • Solid understanding of trade finance processes, documentation requirements, and banking practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
  • Analytical mindset with sound problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
