At ScioTeq, we’re looking for a proactive Trade Compliance Specialist to strengthen our trade compliance team. You’ll work closely with our sr. trade compliance specialist, partnering to safeguard our international business activities and keep our supply chain running without disruption.
In this role, you’ll ensure our import and export activities meet all regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate across departments, engage with external partners, and help maintain the highest standards of ethics and regulatory compliance.
Your responsibilities
You are administering site export and import compliance programs.
You produce and analyze reports from ERP/MRP and other information systems.
You transact records in trade compliance information systems.
You analyze transactions for which due diligence indicates potential risk.
You prepare complex license or permit applications, ATA Carnets, and other international business documents for review and approval. You assist in managing government authorizations throughout their life cycle.
You work pro-actively with departments to prevent trade disruptions.
You detect export holds on transactions.
You prepare and verify export shipping documentation for ad-hoc and other non-routine shipments.
You monitor and manage trade compliance recordkeeping.
You analyze export and import regulations and tracking of changes.
You perform other related duties as directed.
You maintain the highest ethical standards and business conduct policies, even when challenged.
You report to the CFO.
Your profile
You hold a bachelor’s degree in business, law, engineering, or a related area.
You have 5+ years of experience, ideally in an international or regulated environment.
You have more than 5 years of experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) information systems to perform business transactions.
You have 5+ years of experience with export and/or import regulatory compliance and with international business transactions and shipping documents, or related experience.
You have experience with contracts and program milestones.
You have practical experience with trade compliance information systems.
You have knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC, customs regulations, and FTR, export licensing and sanctions.
You have strong communication skills in English and Dutch.
You have a collaborative mindset - you’ll work closely with and support the sr. trade compliance specialist.
