Are you passionate about international trade, regulatory accuracy, and helping teams operate smoothly across borders? We’re looking for a Trade Compliance & Customs Documentation Expert to strengthen our EMEA Supply Chain Operations team.
Job purpose
The Trade Compliance & Customs Documentation Expertis responsible forensuring the compliant, efficient, andtimelymovement of goods across international borders within the EMEA region. This role oversees all customs-related processes, documentation requirements, and regulatory obligations to support seamless import and export operations, acting as the key point of contact for customs guidance and contributing to the development of best-practice procedures to enable smooth cross-border supply chain performance.
Your key responsibilities
Monitor regulatory changes across EMEA and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Review the customs processes and propose harmonization in line with the EMEA strategy.
Prepare, review, and approve shipping and regulatory documents.
Act as first point of contact in customs/documentation escalations - handle documentation discrepancies, errors, or delays, ensuring root-cause resolution, with close collaboration with customer service, commercial andlogisticsteams.
Provide guidance and training on customs and documentation requirements to internal teams.
Collaborate with local customs & documentation experts, providing support andassistance
Liaise with customs agencies, freight forwarders, carriers
Work closely with EMEA SC Center of Excellence on process improvements.
Identifyrisks and implement preventive and corrective actions to avoid penalties or supply chain disruptions.
What you bring
Relevant experience of at least 4-5 years in a related role.
Strong knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, and trade documentation standards, specially about countries like Germany, Italy, Spain,Polandor UK.
Fluent in English. Knowledge of another European language will be a plus.
Experience in using ERP systems (preferably Microsoft AX or SAP) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Good communicationandproblem-solving mindset
The position can be based in any EMEA country and will require travel from 10-20%.
