HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Analyst Trade Compliance Analyst to ensure the seamless movement of products in and out of the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) while maintaining compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
The analyst supports FTZ operations, oversees product classification, conducts audits, and provides compliance training across the organization
This is a hybrid position based in SW Atlanta, GA area.
EXPECTATIONS
- Oversee daily FTZ operations and U.S. Customs compliance (filings: 214, 3461, 7501, 7512)
- Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance in filings, security, inventory, and recordkeeping
- Classify products under HTS, ECCN, and COO guidelines
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements
- Create & maintain trade compliance procedures and processes – conduct training where needed
- Monitor regulatory changes and update internal procedures accordingly
- Implement compliance requirements under ISO9001, ISO14001, C-TPAT, and FTZ regulations
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to clearly explain complex trade compliance issues
- Support Free Trade Agreements ensuring proper certifications are issued and maintained
ESSENTIALS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) preferred
- 3+ years of experience in trade compliance, U.S. customs regulations, FTZ management
- Strong knowledge of HTS/ECCN classification, country of origin, valuation methods, FTA, reconciliation
- Skilled at prioritizing under pressure and making sound decisions
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with compliance software like OneSource, PYMAC, etc.
