Job Title: Trade Compliance Analyst.

Location: Chelmsford, MA.


The Trade Compliance Analyst serves as a pivotal member of the Global Trade Compliance function, taking end-to-end ownership of the export license process, from initial application through ongoing administration, compliance monitoring, and final recordkeeping. This role is responsible for overseeing every stage of export licensing, including preparing and submitting applications, maintaining and updating license records, ensuring adherence to reporting requirements, and integrating compliance controls into enterprise systems and workflows. The Analyst also leads auditing AES EEI filing records, supports restricted party screening efforts, audits, and disclosures, collaborating closely with Operations, Legal, Supply Chain, IT, and Sales. The position reports directly to the Senior Manager, Trade Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Bureau of Industry and Security export license applications using the SNAP-R system, including the preparation, submission, administration, and ongoing management of licenses for hardware, software, technology, and deemed export/reexport activities.
  • Maintain internal export license database, export license records, license conditions reporting, and submissions as required
  • Support compliance policies (e.g. visitor processing, restricted party screening, recordkeeping)
  • Interact with shipping personnel in resolving matters pertaining to export shipments
  • Point of contact for ADI Export Compliance email box
  • Review blocked orders in SAP/GTS and apply appropriate licenses
  • Interact with Shipping personnel in resolving matters pertaining to export shipments
  • Perform monthly AES EEI auditing and reporting
  • Create and maintain SAP/ GTS licenses
  • Support Restricted Party List Screening activities

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with export license administration (e.g., SNAP-R), restricted party screening tools, and enterprise compliance platforms (e.g., SAP/GTS or similar solutions).
  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. trade laws and regulations including the EAR, ITAR, OFAC sanctions, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection requirements.
  • Proficiency with AES/EEI filings and post-filing audits; working knowledge of ECCN/HTS classification, origin determination, and customs valuation.
  • Strong data aptitude, including Excel; experience with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into business-friendly processes.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining impeccable records.
  • Establish partnership with BIS.
  • Years of experience: 3-8 years.
  • Soft skills: Agile, demonstrates receptiveness to guidance and instruction, sound judgment, detail oriented, clear communication, resourceful, and works seamlessly with various departments to achieve shared goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have worked with SAP GTS or equivalent platforms and managing export licenses at scale.
  • You demonstrate rigorous analytical thinking, impeccable documentation practices, and a builder’s mindset for process and tooling.
  • You can simplify intricate regulatory language into actionable decision trees, and you are comfortable balancing precision with speed.
  • You are proactive, organized, and effective at influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Above all, you take ownership for quality and outcomes while contributing to a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CUSECO, ECoP®) are a plus.

Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Travel Required:

  • Yes, up to 10% of the time (domestic).
