Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Trade Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to our tradespeople and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The Trade Assistant will work across all industries and will be required to have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, good organisation and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist tradespeople with various tasks including but not limited to, organizing of materials, such as steel beams and plates.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment: hand grinder, drills etc
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ensure that all work areas are clean and tidy
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with tradespeople and other team members
• Perform other duties as assigned such as painting, yard logistics, prepping materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fork driver license essential
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good time management skills
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
