Job Description

Contract position

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric
  • Experience: Road freight experience is an advantage
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge is required for this position intermediate to high 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all clients receive daily tracking of all their shipments.
  • Correspond with all hauliers on the position of the vehicle.
  • In addition to checking with haulier on the position of the vehicle, correspond with all Border Offices and ensure the company is updated of any potential problems and / or delays.
  • Monitor number of days that trucks stands at each point and query with transporter
  • Ensure that each pre alert sent is on the tracking report.
  • Ensure that each vehicle on the haulier tracking is on the tracking report
  • Bring any delays to the attention of the Route Controller & Project supervisor.
  • Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager
  • Ensure that clients are serviced in such a manner that more business is attained.
  • Ensure that the Company portrays a professional and friendly image to all clients.
  • Ensure that you understand the Rules and Regulations of all statutory bodies.
  • Ensure that the company principals are adhered to.
