Parsons is looking for a talented Track / Permanent Way Expert who will be responsible for the planning, design review, integration, and delivery of track systems for an express railway system. The role will oversee track alignment coordination, trackform selection, interface management, construction support, and operational readiness activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient railway operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead planning, review, and integration of track and permanent way systems across all project stages.

  • Review track alignment, geometry, trackform, turnouts, crossings, ballast and slab track solutions.

  • Ensure integration between track systems, civil infrastructure, signalling, traction power, rolling stock, and depot facilities.

  • Support development of technical specifications, maintenance requirements, and performance criteria.

  • Coordinate interfaces with civil, geotechnical, structural, and railway systems disciplines.

  • Support Systems Engineering activities including requirements management and interface control.

  • Review contractor designs, construction methodologies, and technical submissions.

  • Support testing, commissioning, track acceptance, and operational readiness activities.

  • Identify and manage technical and operational risks associated with track infrastructure.

  • Ensure compliance with railway standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.

  • Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Relevant Engineering Degree (Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or equivalent).

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry or relevant field.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in track and permanent way systems for major railway projects.

  • Extensive experience in track design, trackform systems, turnouts, and railway infrastructure delivery.

  • Strong understanding of track interfaces with signalling, rolling stock, structures, and traction power systems

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

  • Experience with construction, testing, commissioning, and operational acceptance of railway track systems.

  • Familiarity with international railway standards and maintenance requirements.

  • Strong Systems Engineering, interface management, and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Professional certification or membership with a recognized engineering institution is preferred.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership capabilities.
