The Track Maintenance Worker performs racetrack maintenance duties; operates a variety of equipment in support of a well maintained race track and grounds; provides routine labor support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Delivers superior internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way by ensuring every interaction includes our Six Core Service Standards (Look sharp, smile and greet the guest; Be friendly, polite and use courteous language; Provide especially timely and knowledgeable service and then some; Always find solutions to guests’ problems; Use the guest’s name when appropriate; Thank the guest and invite him or her back.); and work harmoniously with fellow team members.
Assumes responsibility for maintenance of the racetrack and racing grounds; and greets and interacting with our guest in a friendly, courteous, responsive and accurate manner.
Maintains the appearance of the track to maintain required standards; maintains plants, trees and shrubs and applies chemicals as needed under supervision.
Operates a variety of vehicles, machinery and equipment to include tractor, pick-up truck, and a variety of hand power and manual maintenance tools.
Performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties to include weed treatment, painting, trash collection and operating of irrigation systems
Performs preventative maintenance as needed; and cares and maintains all light and heavy equipment.
Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of track and ground maintenance.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
High School Diploma or GED, with some grounds and maintenance experience
Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be willing to work a variety of shifts to include swing shifts and holidays if needed
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Knowledge of:
