Track Maintainer – Dubbo

UGL Regional Linx operate and maintain the NSW Country Regional Network (CRN).

UGL Regional Linx are currently looking for Track Maintainers to join our Routine Maintenance Team based out of Dubbo, NSW. Track & Civil workers assure the ongoing safety of the track and carry out activities to manage the repair of track condition. This role will be working on a 9 day fortnight pattern and will require you to work across the wider NSW region.

• Industry leading hourly rates, base hourly rates starting at $34.81 and up to $44.69 (pending qualifications and experience) plus opportunities for overtime that incur additional penalty rates

Your Role as a Track Maintainer:

Track Maintainers ensure the safety and integrity of the rail network by sustaining the condition of the track infrastructure. Track Maintainers will complete track inspections as per the Technical Maintenance Plan, as well as manage identified defects and complete corrective works as designated by the Superintendent.

About You:

• Team oriented, accountable and results driven
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced operational environment with multiple and competing demands
• Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and utilise new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology

Your Experience:

National competencies and previous experience in Track Maintenance (essential)
Track Examination competencies (Track Certifier)
Protection Officer
Track Vehicle Operator (Operate Hi-rail Vehicle)
Rail Welding
Excavator Operator
Hold a current RIW card
White card
Class C Driver’s licence essential (HR preferred)
