As Track and Civil Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across corridor access engineering activities, supporting projects and developments that interact with the CRN network.
This is an influential role where you will work collaboratively with engineers, planners, government agencies, developers, local councils, and industry partners to ensure safe, practical, and sustainable outcomes for the network and the communities it serves.
You will work with a team of specialists, guide technical decision-making, and help shape the future of corridor access processes while supporting the continued growth and development of your team.What You'll Be Doing
Support the Corridor Access team to deliver consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
Provide technical advice and assurance for third-party works, development applications, corridor access proposals, property activities, and related projects.
Review engineering proposals against CRN standards and asset management principles, applying sound judgement to identify and manage safety and operational risks.
Coordinate multidisciplinary assessments involving track, civil, structural, signalling, telecommunications, geotechnical, maintenance, and operational stakeholders.
Assessing Heavy Vehicle applications with the support of the Heavy Vehicle Coordinator and Structures Engineer.
Collaborate with applicants, designers, utilities, councils, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and develop practical, safe solutions.
Provide clear engineering advice and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
Continuous improvement across systems, processes, templates, and engineering practices.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining safety, compliance, and asset integrity.About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working collaboratively, and supporting the development of people and processes.
You may have experience in rail, transport, civil infrastructure, construction, utilities, or a related industry and bring:
A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred).
Strong technical and engineering assessment skills.
The ability to build positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience coordinating or influencing multidisciplinary teams.
A collaborative mindset and a commitment to safe, sustainable outcomes.
