Job Description
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout the facility. This position plays a vital role in supporting operational excellence by ensuring workspaces, common areas, restrooms, and facility grounds consistently meet company sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout warehouse, office, restroom, and common areas.
- Empty trash receptacles, recycling containers, and compactors; ensure proper waste disposal in accordance with company procedures.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and other shared spaces.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, doors, railings, fixtures, and equipment to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify management when replenishment is required.
- Operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers, following proper training and safety procedures.
- Maintain exterior areas, including entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and loading docks, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Respond promptly to spills, leaks, and other safety hazards to minimize risk and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with special projects, seasonal cleaning initiatives, deep-cleaning assignments, and facility improvement efforts.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Support the overall cleanliness, appearance, and functionality of the distribution center.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience/Qualifications Required:
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance experience preferred, particularly within warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of the safe handling and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation practices.

- Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
- On-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, bending, reaching.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Manual dexterity required to safely operate cleaning equipment and tools.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and lifting.
- Special Requirements:
- OSHA 10 hours.
- Flexible to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Ability to work safely in warehouse and industrial environments with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
