Job Description
Our flagship game, Avatar World, is a magical, open-ended world where players can build their dream homes, customize their avatars, and explore endless possibilities. As we expand our business into physical merchandise, we are looking for a talented Toy Designer to bring our characters and world to life as toys, figurines, and collectibles.
Responsibilities
- Develop new toy products based on market trends, player preferences, and company IP
- Define key aspects of the product: materials, textures, colors, and overall design balance to match the IP’s aesthetic
- Create detailed sketches, prototypes, and 3D models of toys according to the requirements provided by the concept art team.
- Collaborate closely with art and creative teams to ensure toys are visually appealing, functional, and manufacturable.
- Conduct research on existing toys, play patterns, and trends to identify new opportunities.
- Work with marketing teams to create compelling packaging and promotional materials.
- Ensure that all designs comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Prepare detailed specifications and instructions for production processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Monitor the production process to ensure the final product meets design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, toy design, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, ZBrush, or similar).
- Strong understanding of materials, textures, and design balance for toys and collectibles.
- Familiarity with toy safety standards and regulations.
- Previous experience in product design, industrial design, or toy design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative and innovative toy designs.
- Excellent sketching and prototyping skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
