Role Purpose:
The tower Supervisor is responsible for leading, directing, coordinating and supporting the contracted
airlines fueling operation.
What you will be doing:
• Coordinates and assist the operations manager(s) to ensure that fueling operations at location are
performed in a safe, timely, reliable, and cost-efficient manner.
• Maintains good situational awareness of all airlines(s) and Menzies Aviation operations and provide
for continuous dissemination of pertinent operational information and timely updates to appropriate
field leadership and fueling personnel.
• Maintains professional contact and operational coordination dialogue with airline(s), airport
operations, flight control, and fueling department as it pertains to Menzies Aviation operations.
• Assists with the development of ongoing operational and contingency plans for the optimal utilization
of Menzies Aviation equipment and resources in support of airline(s) schedule(s).
• Coordinates and communicates operational problem-solving options/plans with managers and
supervisors and with appropriate airline personnel.
• Monitors available technological systems including Flight Status Monitor, Weather and Air Traffic
Control advisories (i.e., ground stops, delay programs, Etc.), and evaluates their impact when making
recommendations for operational plans to support the fueling operation.
• Maintains appropriate logs and documentation to enable anticipation of problem situations, post event
evaluation, and timely/accurate recording and submission of required paperwork and reports.
• Coordinates the implementation of the emergency/significant event notification system; ensure
appropriate Menzies Aviation and airline(s) responsible regulatory Officials are notified; document
accordingly.
• Is able to meet the Station’s attendance standards.
Supervisory responsibilities:
• Directly supervises various employees.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable
laws.
• Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising
performance.
• rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Safety, Security and Compliance:

• Fully versed in International Aviation Safety and Security standards and passionate about promoting
them within the organization.

• Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the
interests of health, safety, or welfare reasons.
• Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a
serious or immediate danger to health and safety.
• Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager /
supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
• Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace
health and safety rules or procedures.
• Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
• Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Prior airline experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• One year certificate from a college or technical school, or six-months to one-year related experience; and
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have high school diploma, GED
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions,
and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or
diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Valid Driver's License. Possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and other FAA/Airport required
identification/seals or authorizations.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug test
