Job Description

KCI Technologies is looking for an experienced Tower Forman to lead a crew in wireless tower construction projects — including new tower builds, collocations, modifications, and equipment upgrades. Experience with Verizon Mods and NSD a plus.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

  • This position is responsible for the daily site construction work efforts
  • Oversee the daily operations at assigned sites.
  • Experience with and the ability to climb towers 100+ feet tall, with a 50 lb. load
  • Able to crouch, kneel, and twist throughout the work day
  • Maintain daily paperwork required for the site and the crew.
  • Implement and follow through with job instructions provided by leadership.
  • Ensure safety and quality control requirements at your sites and with your crew. Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort.
  • Upload closeout documentation to customer interfaces.
  • Coordinate with customer representatives for site related activities and maintain a good working relationship with customer representatives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and actively train / promote learning to all crew members. Always maintain equipment and vehicles in an operational condition.
  • Active smart phone with the ability to install and support apps as needed for customer and KCI support
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge.
  • Job related certifications - First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR and Connector attachment
  • Organizational, computer and communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings and SOW.
  • If applicable, the ability to maintain DOT logbooks
  • Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to lead, teach and train proper work and safety procedures.
  • Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork (Excel, Word etc)
  • Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively.
  • Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.

  • Take responsibility for KCI provided vehicle, equipment, materials, and customer provided material. Keep both the work place and vehicles clean.

Qualifications

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

Education and/or Skills Preferred:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
