The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge is a state-of-the-art sports complex located in Pigeon Forge, TN. Ripken Baseball specializes in youth baseball tournaments bringing teammates, coaches, and families together through our Big League Experiences. The Ripken’s are committed to maintaining the values and experience gained from playing the game, while making sure there's a whole lot of fun along the way. By hosting events for players at three unique facilities, the Ripken’s have promised to do baseball the right way: The Ripken Way.
As a successful Tournament Official, you will learn how to assist with all phases of tournament operations at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, TN.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the staff with the execution of youth baseball tournaments at a world-class facility
Announce games, serving as a rules consultant, and providing customer service to our guests at a designated field
Convey and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times while providing extraordinary external and internal customer service
Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand, working with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants
Required Qualifications
Prior Baseball or Softball experience (playing or coaching)
An outgoing, friendly personality and excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and high-energy
Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve
Good time-management skills
Work Schedule will vary; nights and weekends will be required based on business needs
A passion for sports
Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:
Regular lifting of heavy items of 20 pounds or more
Exposure to extreme heat or cold
